Dr. Gokus' research focus lies on the high-energy emission of active galactic nuclei, in particular blazars. She is interested in the processes happening in their jets and studies their flux and spectral variability by using instruments that cover the whole electromagnetic spectrum. For her analyses, she uses data from satellites, such as Fermi-LAT, XMM-Newton, or NuSTAR, as well as ground-based telescopes, e.g., the 100-m Effelsberg radio telescope or the VLBA.
