Topological Bootstrap: From Free Fermions to Fractionalization and Fractons

I will present a new route for realizing fractionalized topological phases such as spin liquids by building on free fermion phases. This technique leverages entanglement in Kondo lattices to turn e.g. Chern insulators into chiral spin liquids and superconductors into Z2 spin liquids. If time permits, I will show how this technique can be used to derive parton representations of exotic 3D topological orders ("fractons").
