Bayesian Analysis of Nuclear Dynamics (BAND)
Third Annual BAND Camp
In association with the ISNET-9 Meeting, the Bayesian Analysis of Nuclear Dynamics (BAND) Collaboration will host a one-day set of pedagogical presentations on Monday, May 22. BAND Camp talks will be geared towards students and postdocs, and aim to provide an introduction to the software tools developed by BAND and to the corresponding concepts and methods of Bayesian uncertainty quantification. This year BAND is accepting 40 participants for an in-person camp; registrations will be accepted until that capacity is exhausted.
Interested attendees should register through the ISNET-9/BAND registration page. There are no fees for attendance.
The BAND Collaboration was formed in 2020 and is funded by the National Science Foundation's Office of Advanced Cyber-Infrastructure. BAND's goals are to facilitate the implementation of advanced statistical tools for analyzing both models and data in nuclear science. There is a special focus on accounting for multiple models, both for making predictions and for constraining models and their parameters.
Dorm Information
BAND Camp attendees may stay in Zetcher House, a dorm on the Washington University in St. Louis campus. You can reserve a room if you haven't already done so.
If you will be bringing a vehicle to campus, parking is available on the roof of Shepley Garage or in the Wallace Garage nearby. More information to follow in early May after registration closes.
