Witnessing Quantum Gravity via Miniaturist Quantum Accelerator

Anupam Mazumdar (Hosted by Dev), University of Groningen

Unveiling the nature of spacetime remains one of the final frontiers of modern theoretical physics. I will discuss how the true nature of quantum gravity (albeit perturbative) can be tested in a table-top experiment by creating the right witness involving the two neutral masses (spin embedded) undergoing through the Stern-Gerlach apparatus. I will discuss various challenges involved in pursuing the dream of witnessing graviton, and if time permits, I will discuss theoretical implications for constructing a quantum theory of gravity in the ultraviolet motivated from the experiment.
