Physics Theory Seminar with Anil Thapa on Neutrino Masses

Anil Thapa (Hosted by Dev) from University of Virginia will be presenting the seminar "Neutrino Masses: Gateway to Beyond the Standard Model"

Observations of neutrino masses and oscillations provide strong evidence that the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics is incomplete and requires physics beyond the SM. There are a plethora of different models that can explain the origin of neutrino masses. I will discuss distinguishing certain classes of models for both Dirac and Majorana masses while connecting the neutrino masses to other anomalies observables, such as the muon's magnetic moment, CDF's W-boson mass, etc.
