Penguins in Antarctica

Cosmic rays through balloons and space

Wolfgang Zober

On December 16, 2019, SuperTIGER 2.3 launched from McMurdo in Antarctica and successfully stayed up in the air for a stratospheric balloon flight. The flight lasted approximately 32 days. This talk will discuss the efforts it took to get there after the failed attempt last year and general information from this flight. Additionally, I will also discuss current work on a similar experiment currently operating on the ISS.

And because I know what yinz really want, I guess there will be pictures of penguins too.
