Copositivity and Gauge Orbit Spaces in context of Vacuum Stability

Garv Chauhan

Analytic minimization of a general polynomial function can be a very hard task. The presence of symmetries in the function can greatly enhance the solvability of the problem. In this talk, I'll discuss general concepts of copositivity and gauge orbit spaces and their usefulness in minimization of the Higgs potential of a theory. I'll then describe the work in my recent paper where analytic conditions for the vacuum stability of the left-right symmetric model were obtained using these ideas.
