Resolution of Conflicts

Resolution of Conflicts

If you experience a conflict in your interaction with peers or mentors or other people in the department or on campus, and find that you cannot resolve the conflict on your own, please consider engaging with the following resources:

Contact Information

Please note that the above contacts represent mandatory reporters, that is, they are obligated to report knowledge of instances of sexual harassment, sexual assaults, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking or other forms of misconduct that violate university policy to their supervisor, the Title IX Coordinator, the Associate Title IX Coordinator, or the Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office. If you feel that you are confronted with a situation in this category, please also consider reaching out directly to WashU’s Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office, and/or WashU’s RSVP (Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention) center.

The Offices of the Ombuds serve as confidential, independent and impartial resoures that offer assitance in the informal resolution of university-related conflicts and advocate for fair treatment and process. Washington University has three separte ombuds offices dedicated to our faculty, staff, postdoctoral appointees, and medical and Graduate School students.
