Craig McClure serves as an Academic Learning Program Coordinator, supporting introductory physics courses.
The programs that he oversees use team-based learning to promote and understanding of applications and extensions of topics addressed in the lecture presentations of supported courses.
The Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) programs at Washington University support a range of math and science courses to aid students in the supported courses through discussion and further exploration of the topics. Dr. McClure coordinates these sessions in the Department of Physics, along with recitation sessions for Physics I and Physics II. These team-based approaches supplement the lecture portions of the courses.
Additionally, he is involved in instructor training for these courses, focusing on implementation of effective practices to support student learning. His other interests include science outreach and curricular development to support student learning.
