All regular courses in the department are taught by the faculty, with the department's teaching quality above the average in Arts & Sciences, as determined from student evaluations.

The laboratories of Introductory Physics (117-118 and 197-198) are run by Physics Graduate Teaching Assistants, with faculty and staff oversight. Classes tend to be small, and the faculty to majors ratio of about 1 to 1.5 is quite high making faculty very accessible to students.
